Sometimes we find things on the internet, and aren’t sure where they fit. This post is for those odds and ends!
At Wide Open Spaces, we love a good story behind a photo. Sometimes though, there isn’t enough information for a whole post, so we toss them in the back of our pockets and hope for the time when the world can see them. That time is now.
Here are the 10 odds and ends photos that are worth your time.
1. Ant bridge
This photo, posted on Imgur, shows ants using trashed fishing line as a way to get right into the garbage. Hey, there’s a reason why ants have survived for thousands of years.
2. A random act of kindness
The source of this image said that they “lost their hunting license [and] got this in the mail a few weeks later.” There are good people left in the world for hunters, after all!
3. We aren’t the only ones who like catfish
Some days you’re the bird, some days you’re the fish. This bird must have a big family to feed.
4. Where pink camo works best
One hunter told his sister that his niece’s pink camo was basically useless until she sent him this picture. Pink camo, validated.
5. Take advantage of every learning experience
As this user stated, “Today I went to a petting zoo for deer, and my dad proceeded to show my little brother where the best place to shoot a deer is.” Every experience is one for learning!
6. Roadrunners have bigger problems than rattlesnakes
Note: Title contains an expletive.
You think you’re a good rattlesnake wrangler? You’ve got nothing on this WWE-style showdown between a roadrunner and a rattler.
7. It’s the little things in life
This bison playing in a bale of hay is all of us at heart.
8. The American bald eagle is so maje – yikes!
This little ditty was titled, “Ever wonder why the American bald eagle is always photographed from the side?”
9. This story will break your heart
This is both the happiest and saddest story ever. As the user says, “My friend and his dog would always go fishing. He passed and I got his dog. And he’s gonna teach me how to fish.”
10. When you’re just lazy
This toad and trout combination are proving that once again, trout are the best fish in the world. They even offer free rides!
