Have you always wanted to film your hunts?
Well, look no further than the Solvid Head Camera Mount. Here is an awesome video I made using one on a recent pheasant hunt in Oregon.
The folks over at Solvid were kind enough to send me a head mounted camera mount to try out and review this hunting season.
Last weekend, my wife and I went on a pheasant hunt on a preserve down in Oregon, and I got a chance to put it to the test. As you can see below, it worked really well and I got some good footage of the hunt from a first person perspective.

As I stated earlier, this hunt took place on a hunting preserve (that’s why there is a mix of pheasant hens and roosters in the video).
The Solvid camera mounts may be used with either an action camera (like a GoPro), or a traditional video camera, as long as it has a 1/4″ tripod thread.
I used a regular Sony handheld camcorder when making this video. While I used it primarily because that is the only video camera that I own, using a traditional video camera also gives you the ability to zoom in to capture more details of the action. Action cameras usually do not.
If you’re interested in getting one for yourself, you can see all of Solvid’s products here. The prices for their head mounted camera straps start at about $40 and they are all made in the USA.
