  • 4 mullets
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1  TBSP lemon juice and lemon wedges
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Pita bread
What to do:
  1. Wash and dry fish
  2. Add salt, pepper, and lemon juice
  3. Coat with flour
  4. Cook till golden brown
  5. Eat with pan-fried pita bread wedges
  6. Top fish with lemon wedges

Barbeque Mullet

What you need:

  • 2 red mullet
  • fresh oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • black olives
  • chopped garlic
  • red chili pepper
  • rosemary
  • 3 toatoes
  • 1/4 chopped lemon

What to do:

  1. Heat your grill.
  2. Score the fish on all sides.
  3. Chop the oregano leaves, then scatter them over the board.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper.
  5. Roll the fish through the above seasoning.
  6. Put the mullet on the grill.
  7. Salsa: Heat olive oil, add olives, garlic, chili, and rosemary.
  8. After 4 minutes, turn the mullet with care and cook an additional 4 minutes.
  9. Add tomatoes, lemon juice, and parsley.
  10. Serve with salsa spooned over the top.

Grey Mullet, Shrimp, and Potato Delight

What you need:

  • 1 TBSP canola oil
  • 1 Oz butter
  • 2 grey mullets, filleted
  • 6 potatoes, cooked and diced
  • 3 Oz shrimp
  • salt, pepper, and parsley to taste
  • Tarragon, chopped
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • 2 TBSP lemon juice

What to do:

  1. Heat oil and 1/2 oz butter in pan.
  2. Place the mullet skin-side down and cook on just that side till done.
  3. In another pan, melt butter and fry potatoes till golden.
  4. Add and mix shrimp, salt, pepper, tarragon, olive oil, lemon juice and parsley.
  5. Skin the fish, lay atop the potatoes, add shrimp and cover in the leftover juices.

What you need:

  • 2 pints of canned mullet
  • 2 cups of tomato juice
  • 4 cups of canned tomatoes
  • 2 cups chopped onion and sliced celery
  • 2 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 TSP salt and chili powder
  • 1 TBSP cornstarch
What to do:
  1. Put tomato juice and mullet in a pot, boil.
  2. Add the other ingredient and boil till veggies turn soft.
  3. Add cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water to thicken.
  4. Eat with rice and green peppers.

Baked Mullet

What you need:

  • 4 LB mullet
  • 4 sliced lemons
  • bay leaves, thyme, parsley, celery leaves, salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 TBSP butter
  • Olive oil

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Grease tin foil with olive oil.
  3. Add lemon slices.
  4. Chop parsley, celery, thyme and bay leaves, mix and some lemon slices, stuff into mullet belly.
  5. Place mullet atop the lemon slices and add a few on the top of the mullet.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining seasonings.
  7. Close mullet in foil.
  8. Bake 45 minutes.
  9. Combine juices from pan, add butter, cook and stir till thick to make sauce.

What you need:

  • 2 mullets, filleted
  • Lemon juice
  • 1/4 C yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 TSP Old Bay seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 C milk
  • 2 C Canola oil

What to do:

  1. Clean mullet.
  2. Remove skin.
  3. Cover with lemon juice and marinate for half an hour.
  4. Mix cornmeal and seasonings in a bag.
  5. Coat mullets in milk and shake in bag.
  6. Deep fry at 350 degrees till golden brown.

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line pan with foil, add mullet.

What to do:

  1. Heat oil

What to do:

  1. Place mullets on parchment paper.
  2. Cover with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  4. Cook for 15 minutes at 400 degrees.

What you need:

  • 1/2 pound chopped salt pork
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 8 potatoes, diced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 TBSP Worcestershire
